Fall's Rolling In - Time For A New Pair of Kicks!

So with the entire day being rainy and yucky out, it got me thinking about what I will be wearing on my feet this coming fall. My very loved boots from last year have been well... very loved indeed. With the worn-out holes along the soles, it makes it impossible to wear them in this kind of wet weather.

So my hunt for a new pair of Fall kicks has begun!

Within minutes on my hunt I had managed to fall in love with a pair of
suede ankle boots that normally I would frown upon... but for some
reason today they seem to be screaming my name and pulling
at my wallet with their lovely fringed details.

Now, for a chick that hasn't even enjoyed the UGG "explosion" world-wide, this feels a bit shocking to even think about, but in all honestly I really do love these boots. All I want to do is slip them on my feet and dance around like a bad-ass rocker chick singing to Katy Rose!
(Who by the way is my current old obsession that has been
re-ignited thanks to some old mix tapes I've recently recovered.)

These boots are just so rustic, rocker, urban chic and comfy! What a perfect combination!

Until I saw the price tag...

$400.00 my ass! No way do I have that kind of money for a pair of boots, even if they are truly amazing! That's almost all of my months rent!

No way,
not going to happen,
dreams over,
hit the road boots....
& dont you come back unless your about $300.00 cheaper!!!

A few seconds later...

Why don't I just find a pair of knock offs! There's bound to be plenty on the net!

A few minutes later...

For heavens sake, nothing compares :( ...

POP!

A brilliant ideas pops into my head. Why not just buy a cheap pair of suede ankle boots. Make sure they fit the basic demands... warm, comfortable, dark brown, good sole, etc...

AND THEN BEDAZZLE THEM!!!!!

So my new mission is to find these basic dark brown suede ankle boots.
From then on I am going to attempt at re-creating my
first loves and see how it goes!
Wish me luck, I'll need it
if I want mine to
look like
hers!

I'll be sure to post photos of my finished creation whether or not it works out :)
