Sleepless Nights, Racing Thoughts

Do you ever have those nights where you're completely beat and you would do anything to simply just fall asleep but no, oooh no. Your mind decides to run 1,000 miles a second and all these thoughts keep you wide awake all. night. long.

I just hate that. That's what happened to me tonight, of course I had some help with the on-going thoughts but its all the same. Its 5:00 am and Im still awake. So why not add a new post?! :)

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to Do-It-Yourself projects. I'll find one I reallllly love and get halfway done and find something else even cooler. Then it starts again, i'll get half way done and once again, find something else even cooler then the last. needless to say I probably wont have a whole lot of completed projects to show you but I will show you the ones I think are really cool!

I can't recall when I first started becoming interested in this kind of thing, it was sometime in the last year. I started small and worked my way up. (Still working my way up as we speak!)

This is my latest find:

Exhibited as part of the show, "Turns of Speech and Figures of Phrase"
Hand embroidered with cotton floss on cotton canvas using stem stitch.

This is something I really want to try this summer before I go back to school. It doesn't look too difficult, but for sure i'll have to create a more simple design if I want mine to look anything close to as beautiful and neat as this one.

Another DIY project i've been meaning on starting is....

This one! I just think it is so lovely, simple and unique.
This idea was brought to me from:

Tons more DIY ideas to choose from as well! These just caught my eye seeing as how I already have a box of old unused frames that would be easy to re-paint so they fit in with the colors of my new apartment. I can NOT wait until September when I get to move it. I'll for sure keep posting all of my DIY projects (and believe me there will be quite a few of them) and before & after photos of my new place.

Well time to get ready for work!
