Guilty as Charged

We all have them and at times even wished we WERE them... celebrity girl crushes... I have definitely fallen victim to the pressures exerted on women today by the media to look as glowy, thin and beautiful as many of the female celebrities seem to be. Regardless of the countless reports pointing the finger and blaming Photo-shop to create these very perfect ladies, I am still jealous and often find myself re-evaluating my appearance to meet this heightened standard of "beauty". Now, in no way am I saying I don't think I'm pretty or cute or whatever. I can totally wake up in the AM, look in the mirror, and think, "man that chick is a winner!" (maybe even throw in a few 80's dance moves in dedication to my very large hair first thing in the morning). Best of all, I truly believe that I am beautiful. But unfortunately there are so many women out in the world that can't see their own beauty and I find that very sad. Humans are all beautiful creatures no matter what size, shape or color you are. You are who you are and you should embrace your flaws, not try and hide them!! No one is perfect, not even the stars, (that's why they spend hundred's on expert beauticians to hide their flaws). Besides, what's the fun in being perfect these days anyways? Perfect is boring.. I think everyone needs to get a little more creative and have more fun with life. Stop stressing about all the small things and instead enjoy what you have because life sure isn't promised so make it count!

So enough with the rant, 

I just had to state my full opinion prior to posting my celebrity girl crushes & here they are:

 Jojo first become a favorite after I bought her CD back in the early 2000's I believe. She was also in some mermaid movie if I recall correctly? Maybe not, but mermaids rock either way. I think she is such a cutie and I love that she has fluffy cheeks and a wide nose like me :)

 Now now now... don't be all judgy... Lindsay has had a bumpy life but in the end arn't we all just trying to life it the way we feel is the best for us? Right?? So maybe she made all those strange choices because she just wanted to live more of an.. eccentric lifestyle?.. don't judge until you've spend a day in their shoes! Anyway, she is gorgeous and I reallllllly love that she can pull off being a blond, brunette and a red head. I still enjoy watching the Parent Trap, for the longest time I used to think she actually had a twin lol

Last but not least, the glamorous Megan Fox. She is my favorite even though I think she was more beautiful prior to the surgeries. She may not be the best actress out there but she sure is a stunner! 

Plus i can't get enough of her necklace! 

So there you have it. I sure am starting to get on a roll with these new posts lately! I'm so proud of myself haha. Again, comments would be nice, I know there are a few people looking at my blog as my page views have increased from zero over the past week. Feel free to comment and give me more ideas on what to blog about! I already made it clear that I may not be the most exciting gal around but if you know me you should know that I do enjoy a good chit-chat and on here I don't have to worry about interrupting people mid sentence :) (Which I tend to do when I get excited haha Sorry for those of you who have experienced this!)

Foxy Lips & Lazy Sundays

Don't you just love those lazy Sunday afternoons... after you've slept well past noon and eaten anything you wanted where ever you wanted? I sure do. I feel like I should have probably taken some time to study but I was just so busy playing with makeup! Once I turned my living room into my own personal mini studio (as shown below) I pulled out some inspiration from online that i've had flagged from some time now.

<<< Looks like such a mess but it was very helpful in completing the following fun, goofy and silly makeup looks. 

Now i'm no pro but I am expecting to one day become one! I have actually applied to a makeup artistry school in Toronto for April 2013. ** Finger crossed that I get in! :)

Now for the fun part. Believe it or not these looks took me well over three hours (give or take) while watching one of my previously mentioned favorite television series, Lie to Me. It was definitely an enjoyable afternoon to say the least! 

All of these looks I found online, I take no credit in originally creating the ideas, these are just my versions and I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do! 

The first look was the lovely red fox. This one is my favorite!! So cute yet foxy, no pun intended. 

 I would love to go into detail about the product that I used and the special types names and numbers of the brushes I used but I just don't keep track of those things. In all honesty most of the colors used to create all the looks can be thanked to my left over Halloween face paint. Super pigmented and left a lovely glossy finish. Plus they are really easy to blend which is key to a flawless result. So here you have it, foxy lips.

The remaining looks I don't care for as much so i'm just going to go on ahead and mix them all up and in no particular order. 

 The hippo was pretty cute too I might add. Especially the buck-toothed one haha :)

Looks a little upside-down but these next two are meant to be watermelon themed. The lighting isn't the greatest so the little black seeds are barely noticeable but they are still there! (Every detail counts!)

And so the final look... more of a Valentine's Day themed lip which by the way i'm still rockin' while hanging out & blogging in my living room. Good thing the roommate always thinks i'm a weirdo o so this sort of thing doesn't even surprise her haha.
