Don't Wait Until It's Too Late, Feel Your Boobies & You'll Feel Great!

So typically my Sunday's don't really consist of much besides cleaning & studying. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get either of those chores accomplished what so ever yesterday. Oh darn. I was spending my time with family, half of whom had just come back from a 6 week long vaca in Mexico! Lucky ducks.. they were so amazingly tanned.. especially my Dedo (grandpa in Ukrainian even though I know it's suppose to be "G"edo but it's a long story that starts with a childhood speech impediment.. ANYWAYS...) with his solid white mustache against his tan looked epic. I should have taken a picture!

Since I do not have cable at my place, I took advantage of my grandparents cable and tuned into the 54th Grammy Awards for a bit. I didn't get a chance to take in all of it but from what I managed to catch it seemed like a great show. I thought Katy Perry's performance was amazing, not digging the fried hair look though. The blue hair color I don't mind, it was just that awful fuzzy look that lacked her usual luster. Also no matter what anyone else thinks, I love the hair and dress combo. It looks elegant and edgy, pretty and funky.

I'm not a big fan of Taylor Swift (although I do listen to her music) mainly because she always does this thing where after she performs or talks pretty much she ALWAYS looks so "shocked" that those applause and all the attention is for her. I know you want to take in the big moment and all, and I promise this is not just another jealous rant, but the look seems so fake and practiced. On a nicer note the backdrop for her performance was really different and rustic looking, I liked that... unlike her Granny dress...

Adele totally stole the show (at least the part I saw)... no fancy lighting or orchestras, no hip-busting dance moves or army's of backup performers... just her HUGE amazing voice. That woman is amazing and I LOVE her as a Blondie, she looks so much more put together and vintage glam, especially in that lovely black dress she was wearing!

Enough picking apart of the Grammys, I hope everyone who wanted to get a chance to enjoy them did, as well as the beautiful tribute to Whitney Houston, rest her soul. I was never really a fan of hers but I have to admit that her voice was amazing.

Now that the Grammys are over & done with, who's getting stoked for the Juno Awards?!?! 48 more days ha ha (yes I'm following a countdown online, you can too! http://junoawards.ca/ ) I love so many of the nominated artists I feel like no matter who wins I'm going to be pleased :) But I do have a favorite... Lights and all of her music. I've listened to her since she first started wiggling her way into the music scene and I just adore her. Her smile is so contagious! I'm actually listening to her new CD Siberia as I write this, so far my favorite tune is Fourth Dimension, but I haven't found A song that I didn't like by her. I can feel it in my bones that Lights and Skrillex are going to get together and collaborate some great tunes, it would be epic!!

Now to continue my February goal to help being awareness to Breast Cancer I will also include a fun game below! You can play with any number of players including playing solo ;) The game is called Feel Your Boobies! The best part about this game is that there are never any losers!

The main point of this is to become familiar with how your breasts normally feel so that if a change were to occur you'd be able to notice more quickly and get it checked out as soon as possible. Some automatically assume only women are at risk when in reality, so are men. So take turns and start giving your boobies some TLC :) Here is a website that will help with directing your fingers, or fingers of your teammate(s) and it also has more information on what sorts of things you should be looking for. Don't wait until it's too late, feel your boobies and you'll feel great!(Hell yeah totally just rhymed! I think I just made up my title for this blog post! Hells yeah!!)

Also found this neat little event going on in Brandon, MB on March 2, 2012, who doesn't love a room full of Bachelors!? Where there's bachelors there best be some pretty single ladies as well! Check it out here for more details: Bachelors for Breast Cancer

For more information including other events in your area visit the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation website!

Have a lovely day folks!
